Violente et Lumineuse comme la foudre, la musique de The Black Waves s’abat maintenant sur Lille et les régions environnantes depuis 2008 .
The Black Waves est un groupe psychédélique franco/espagnol basé à Lille et fondé en 2008.
Le groupe est influencé par The Black Angels, The Warlocks Jesus & Mary Chain ou encore The Velvet Underground.
Un premier EP autoproduit sort en 2011 salué d’une sélection au tremplin régional Tour de Chauffe et une date aux côtés de Bob Log III et The Magnetix
Après un single et un second EP live, le groupe reprend la route et assure de nombreux concerts dans toute la France, en Belgique, en Espagne, en Allemagne, en Italie et au Danemark et partage des scènes avec des artistes comme Camera, Psychic Ills, Electric Moon, The Cosmic Dead, Roy & The Devil’s Motorcycle, Moaning Cities, Spindrift, Sonic Jesus, The Vickers, Jessica93, The Oscillation, Jack of Heart…
Leur 1er album bénécie finalement d’une double sortie, chez Nasoni Records, label psychédélique culte berlinois qui comprend dans son catalogue Vibravoid, Electric Moon ou encore Space Invaders. Et chez l’autre label allemand Sunhair Music Records en version CD. Suivi par plus de 2000 fans sur les réseaux sociaux, le groupe est aussi présent dans les presse grâce à des articles de Rock ‘N Folk, New Noise Magazine et de nombreux blogs spécialisés aux 4 coins du monde.

The Black Waves is a french and spanish psychedelic band from Lille (France) formed in 2008.
The band is deeply influenced by artists such as The Black Angels, The Warlocks Jesus & Mary Chain or The Velvet Underground.
A first EP is self-released in 2011 and allows the band to be part of an artistic regional contest named « Tour de Chauffe » and to open for Bob Log III and The Magnetix
After a single and a second live EP, the band is back on the road and plays a lot of show in France, Spain, Gemrany, Italy and Denmark and open for acts such as Camera, Psychic Ills, Electric Moon, The Cosmic Dead, Roy & The Devil’s Motorcycle, Moaning Cities, Spindrift, Sonic Jesus, The Vickers, Jessica93, The Oscillation, Jack of Heart…
Their first album is finally released by two record labels in 2015 : Nasoni Records, a music label from Berlin know for releasing some of the finest psychedelic music for years (Vibravoid, Electric Moon, Space Invaders…). It’s also been released by Sunhair Music Records on cd.
Followed by more than 2000 fans on the internet, A lot blogs and magazines from everywhere in the world (and famous french magazines Rock ‘N Folk and New Noise) also wrote about The Black Waves over the years.
